Compositional Summary:
Concerted passages and a lot of movement from woodwinds and brass. Very Pastoral and Epic.

Thoughts on the compositional process:
This piece talks about diversity and tolerance. About how community-based music-making is the most profound form of elevation. I was inspired to write this music after a trip to the southeast Sierra region in Oaxaca within the proud Mixe community. This is what the mountains sound like.
